Time To Shine

The sun hangs her hat each night, solaced by the distant moon’s promise to shine in her place.
Together– they never leave the world without light, a selfless pair only living to spread their grace.

We can learn from them the meaning of love, for their love is truer than we’ll ever know, 
Both equally respected by one another, their trust is deep and it continues to grow.

They forget their pride, and let each other have their time to shine.
They sweetly part at the beginning and end of each day, one dawns and the other declines. 

Both driven to rise and set by their momentary greeting on opposite ends of the horizon.
For after their brief reunion, they go their separate ways. Their light is renewed & they quickly brighten.
